Agua Imara was established in 2009 as a subsidiary of SNPI with Norfund, BKK and TrønderEnergi taking minority stakes. The objective has been to build a portfolio of hydropower projects in Africa and Central America. Norfund has a direct investment of 18% of the share capital in a mix of voting and non-voting shares; and an indirect investment via our shareholding in SNPI.
Agua Imara is today owned 64.9% by SN Power, and 35.1% by BKK.
Norfund controls indirectly 32.45% of the company through its 50% ownership of SN Power.
