After 12 years as an active chair of Norfund's board, Kristin Clemet steps down. " We highly appreciate Kristin Clemet's valuable contribution to Norfund and are now looking forward to working with Olaug Svarva", says Norfund's CEO Tellef Thorleifsson,

Ms. Svarva was the Chief Executive Officer of the Government Pension Fund Norway (Folketrygdfondet) from 2006 to 2012. Today, Ms. Svarva is Chair of the Board in DNB and she has also served as chair-member of several Norwegian companies' nomination committees. From 2001 to 2006, she held positions as CEO & Investment Director at SpareBank 1 Aktiv Forvaltning and SpareBank 1 Livsforsikring. Ms. Svarva holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Denver. She is also authorized as a portfolio manager by the Norwegian Society of Financial Analysts.
Kristin Clemet has played a significant role
Kristin Clemet has served as Norfund's chair of board since 2007. At the Annual General Meeting today, Tuesday 18th of June, she stepped down from chairing the of board of directors in Norfund . During her 12 years, she has played a significant role in the development of Norfund's strategy and growth.
"I am grateful for the significant efforts Kristin Clemet has made as chair of the board in Norfund. She has been a key player within the Norwegian international development work. Her leadership and knowledge have been of great importance for the positive development of Norfund,” says Minister for International Development Dag-Inge Ulstein.
“This is one of the most interesting directorship I have ever had. It has been an exciting and interesting experience to be part of Norfund’s development during the past 12 years,” says Kristin Clemet.
