Data we process

When you visit our web site we use our servers and a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect commonly used internet log information (including the website that you used when visiting our site form a link, and your IP-Address) and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site and improve our site. Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest stated in the previous sentence.  Google Analytics and the provider of the publication tool used on our website, CoreTrek AS, uses cookies. We collect personal data when you provide it voluntary to us, through registration, completion of forms or e-mails, such as when you register for an event, sign up for a newsletter or contact us with inquiries or requests and similar situations in which you have chosen to provide the information to us. Our legal basis for this processing is your consent.

We only retain personal data for as long as is necessary for us to render a service to which you have given your consent, except where otherwise provided by law (e.g. in connection with pending litigation).

 

Data transfer

Data used in relation to Google Analytics may be stored or processed by computers located in other jurisdictions, such as the United States, whose data protection laws may differ from the jurisdiction in which you live. In such cases, we will ensure that appropriate protections are in place to ensure adequate data protection.

We offer options to forward articles by email and share articles via social media. Email addresses used to forward articles are not recorded. The further processing of data shared via social media is regulated by your agreement with the relevant online service provider.
