Baobab+ sells and finances a range of energy and digital access solutions benefitting off-grid households and microentrepreneurs in West Africa and Madagascar. The company was founded in 2015 by the Baobab Group, a well-known MFI. Baobab+ currently has operations in Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali and Madagascar and has sold 200,000 solar home systems (SHS) and 60,000 smartphones and tablets to date. Baobab+ has recently started operations in DRC and Nigeria.
