Status
Lake Turkana Wind Power is a 310 MW wind power project in northern Kenya. Norfund has provided equity to part finance the construction of the project, as well as provided a supporting guarantee towards the off-taker. The project construction is completed, and all 365 turbines have been through the commissioning process and with the transmission line in place the plant has been generating and supplying electricity in to the Kenyan national grid since September 2018.
