Statkraft International Hydropower (SKIHI) was orignally called SNPI and was established in 2002 as a partnership with Statkraft to build, own and operate hydropower in developing countries. The company established itself in Peru, Chile, Brazil, Nepal, India and Philippines. In 2013 the company was restructured and transferred its assets in Philippines, Panama and Zambia to a newly established company, SN Power, owned 50/50 with Statkraft. SNPI was then renamed Statkraft International Hydo Invest AS (SKIHI) with a focus on South American and South Asian markets. Norfund currently owns 18% of SKIHI.
