The office in San José was opened in 2001. The team is led by Regional director Federico Fernández.
The office handles Norfund’s existing and new investments in Latin America, within all Norfund’s sectors except Scalable Industries and Green Infrastructure. We focus on debt and equity investments and business support projects in clean energy and financial institutions. We can also invest in other countries in Latin America, in partnership with other investors and funds, see map below.
